How to keep up to date with changes to Compliance Documents

It’s important to keep up to date with any amendments to Compliance Documents. Here are some ways you can do this.

  • The Department consults with the building industry and wider public before finalising amendments. Discussion documents are available from the consultation section. Notice of consultation, and finalised amendments, are publicised through our publications Codewords and Building Controls Update.
  • You can sign up for our email notification service and we’ll let you know about any amendments.
  • You can subscribe to the Compliance Documents PDF service offered by Vicbooks [External website]. . Subscribers pay a year's subscription, during which time any amendments are notified to the subscriber and can be downloaded free of charge. (Vicbooks also sells Compliance Documents in hard copy and CD-ROM format.)
