Dispute resolution activities

The Department provides dispute resolution services in several areas, including:

• resolution of disputes over leaky homes
• determinations concerning code compliance certificates and building practice
• tenancy disputes where a mediator will work with tenants and landlords.

The number and nature of these dispute resolution activities gives an indication of the issues facing the building and housing sector.
