Judges' comments

James Raimon’s design is based around a family space suitable for a wide variety of family activities and needs.

A modular planning concept enables the house to grow or shrink according to the needs of the owner. The shape and style of the house is contemporary but also uses design elements familiar to many New Zealanders.

There was significant attention to design detail of functional elements and modularity. The judges were impressed with the emphasis on an adaptable planning concept.
