Forms for natural hazard and other notifications

Four forms have been approved by the Registrar-General of Land for use under sections 73, 74, 77 and 83 of the Building Act 2004 (which relate to building work on land subject to natural hazards and construction on two or more allotments).

While use of the forms is not mandatory, the Department encourages territorial authorities and building consent authorities to use these forms to ensure consistency across the country and ease of processing by the Registrar-General of Land.

When the forms are lodged with the Registrar-General they need to be accompanied by a

Column 3 of that form requires a code number to be entered for the type of transaction contemplated.

The fees payable when lodging the forms are set out in Schedule 5 to the Land Transfer Regulations 2002. As at 26 May 2005 the lodgement/registration fee for each form is $50 (Item 5 + Item 7). If a notice affects more than one computer register, a further fee of $2 for each additional title is payable (Item 8). Fees are re-assessed annually, so there is a possibility of change over time.
