One of the key aims of the licensed building practitioner scheme is to increase skills and knowledge in the building industry over time.

The key element of this is skills maintenance, or ongoing professional development to make sure you keep up with changes in the industry.

Finally, once practitioners are licensed they are able to use the Licensed Building Practitioner quality mark to promote themselves as being licensed.
